Instructions

Baby Newsboy Hat

1. Start with tan yarn. Make a slipknot and ch 4. Join with a sl st to form a ring.
2. Round 1: Work 10 sc into the ring. Join with a sl st to the first sc. (10 stitches)
3. Round 2: Ch 1, inc in each sc around. Join. (20 stitches)
4. Round 3: Ch 1, *1 sc in the next st, inc in the next st; repeat from * around. Join. (30 stitches)
5. Round 4: Ch 1, *1 sc in the next 2 sts, inc in the next st; repeat from * around. Join. (40 stitches)
6. Rounds 5-8: Ch 1, 1 sc in each st around. Join. (40 stitches)
7. Round 9: Change to light blue yarn. Ch 1, work 1 dc in each st around. Join.

7. Rows 9-12: Repeat Row 8 until it reaches desired height (approximately 3 inches tall).
8. Finish with 1 row of light blue dc around the top edge for a decorative trim.
9. Fasten off and weave in all ends.
10. For the side straps: Ch 10, sc back down the chain. Attach to the sides of the diaper cover.
