Crocheted Heart Plushies Pattern
Materials
- Worsted weight yarn in colors of your choice (red, pink, gray, beige)
- Size G/4.0 mm crochet hook
- Polyester fiberfill stuffing
- Darning needle for sewing
- Scissors
Gauge
Gauge is not crucial for this pattern, but for best results, ensure your stitches are tight enough to prevent stuffing from showing through.
Abbreviations
- ch - chain
- sc - single crochet
- inc - increase (2 sc in one stitch)
- dec - decrease (sc two stitches together)
- st(s) - stitch(es)
Instructions
Heart (make two for each heart)
Note: Work in continuous rounds; do not join.
- Round 1: Make a magic ring, 6 sc in the ring. (6 sts)
- Round 2: Inc in each st around. (12 sts)
- Round 3: [Sc in next st, inc in next st] repeat around. (18 sts)
- Rounds 4-5: Sc in each st around. (18 sts)
- Round 6: [Sc in next 2 sts, inc in next st] repeat around. (24 sts)
- Round 7: Sc in each st around. (24 sts)
- Round 8: [Sc in next 2 sts, dec over next 2 sts] repeat around. (18 sts)
- Round 9: [Sc in next st, dec over next 2 sts] repeat around. (12 sts)
- Round 10: Dec over every 2 sts around. (6 sts), fasten off leaving a long tail for sewing.
Assembly
- Stuff each heart piece with fiberfill.
- Hold two heart pieces together and sew around the edge using the long tail, adding extra stuffing if needed before closing completely.
- Weave in all loose ends.
