Materials:
- Worsted weight yarn (1 color)

Gauge: Not critical, but aim for approximately 6 inches in diameter.
Abbreviations:
- ch - chain
- dc - double crochet
- sl st - slip stitch
- shell - 5 dc in the same stitch
Instructions:
Round 1:
Start with a magic ring (or ch 4 and join to form a ring). Ch 3 (counts as 1st dc), then dc 11 times into the ring. Join with a sl st to the top of the ch 3.
Round 2:
Ch 3, *(shell in the next stitch, ch 1)* repeat until you reach the join. End with a shell, then join with a sl st.
Round 3:
Ch 3, *(shell in the next chain space, ch 1)* repeat around for the round. Join with a sl st.
Round 4:
Ch 3, *(shell in the next chain space, shell in the next shell)* continue working around. Close with a sl st.
Finishing:
Once you achieve your desired size, finish off. Weave in the ends with a yarn needle. Lightly block the square for the best shape.
Joining Squares:
