Materials
- Worsted weight yarn in three colors: beige, green, and olive green
- Crochet hook size I/9 (5.5 mm)
- Tapestry needle
- Scissors
Gauge
4 rows and 4 sc = 4 inches
Abbreviations
- ch = chain
- sc = single crochet
- dc = double crochet
- sl st = slip stitch
Pattern
Base
Using beige yarn, ch 130.
Row 1: Sc in second ch from hook and in each ch across (129 sc). Turn.
Shell Pattern
Row 2: Ch 3 (counts as dc), turn, dc in same st, *skip 2 st, 5 dc in next st (shell made), skip 2 st, 2 dc in next st*, repeat from * to * across to last st, 2 dc in last st.
Row 3: Ch 1, turn, sc in each dc across.
Color Change
Switch to olive green (or the middle color) and repeat rows 2 and 3 until the olive section measures about 20 inches.
Continue Pattern
With green yarn, repeat rows 2 and 3 until the section measures an additional 20 inches.
Final Border
Switch back to beige yarn. Work 2 rows of sc all around the blanket, working 3 sc in each corner.
Finishing
- Fasten off and weave in all ends.
- Block gently if desired.
