Crochet Elegant Lattice Square Pattern

Materials Needed:

• Worsted weight yarn
• Size H/8 (5mm) crochet hook
• Scissors
• Tapestry needle

Abbreviations:

• ch = chain
• sc = single crochet
• dc = double crochet
• sl st = slip stitch
• st(s) = stitch(es)

Instructions:

1. Start by chaining 16.
2. Row 1: Dc in 4th ch from hook and in each ch across, turn. (13 dc)
3. Row 2: Ch 3, *skip next dc, dc in next dc, ch 1, dc in skipped dc (crossed stitch made); repeat from * across ending with dc in top of turning ch, turn.
4. Row 3: Ch 3, dc in each dc and ch-1 space across, turn.
5. Repeat Rows 2 and 3 until square measures approximately 6 inches or desired size.
6. Finish off and weave in ends using tapestry needle.

Finishing:

Block your square to shape it properly if needed. You can make several squares and join them together for larger projects like blankets or throws.
