Instructions
- Prepare Your Aida Cloth: Cut your Aida cloth into squares, each measuring 4 inches by 4 inches.
- Design the Pattern: Use a pencil to draw your geometric pattern on the cloth, highlighting central axes and shapes.
- Cross-Stitch:
- With red floss, start from the center of your cloth and create the star design, using cross-stitches to make each arm of the star.
- Switch to purple floss for the surrounding pattern around the star, maintaining a neat and even tension.
- Add accents of green floss within the central design to give it a vibrant pop.
- Use pink floss for additional surrounding decorative elements.
- Border:
- With black and white yarn, crochet a border around the coaster using a simple single crochet stitch. Alternate black and white with each stitch to create the striped effect.
- Make Tassels (optional):
- Use leftover floss to create small tassels at each corner for added charm.
- Attach securely to each corner with a few stitches.
- Finishing: Weave in all ends with a needle. Press lightly if needed to flatten and set the stitches.
And there you have it—your very own set of colorful and unique coasters!
