Colorful Crochet Throw Blanket Pattern
This throw blanket is beautifully designed with alternating stripes and uses a combination of various stitches for texture and warmth. It measures approximately 50 inches by 60 inches, making it a great size for draping over a couch or using as a cozy wrap.
Materials:
- Worsted weight yarn in the following colors:
- Red: 2 skeins

- Yarn needle
- Scissors
Gauge:
15 stitches and 8 rows = 4 inches in double crochet.
Abbreviations:
- ch = chain
- dc = double crochet
- sc = single crochet
- sl st = slip stitch
- st(s) = stitch(es)
- tr = treble crochet
Instructions:
Start with a foundation chain of 150.
- Row 1: In the 4th chain from the hook, dc. Dc in each chain across. Turn. (148 dc)
- Row 2: Ch 3 (counts as first dc), dc in next dc and in each dc across. Turn. (148 dc)
- Row 3: Ch 1, sc in the first dc. *Ch 2, skip 2 dc, sc in the next dc; repeat from * across. Turn. (74 sc)
- Row 4: Ch 3, dc in each sc across. Turn. (74 dc)
- Change color to pink.
- Row 5: Ch 3, dc in each dc across. Turn. (74 dc)
- Change color to brown.
- Row 6: Ch 3, dc in each dc across. Turn. (74 dc)
- Change color to mustard.
- Row 7: Ch 3, dc in each dc across. Turn. (74 dc)
- Change color to teal.
- Row 8: Ch 3, dc in each dc across. Turn. (74 dc)
- Repeat Rows 5-8 until the blanket measures approximately 60 inches long, ending with a Row of teal.
- Border: Change color to red. Ch 1, sc evenly around the blanket, placing 3 sc in each corner to keep the border flat. Join with a sl st to the first sc.
- Fasten off and weave in all ends with a yarn needle.
