Sunset Breezy Can Hugger Crochet Pattern

Materials

  • Worsted Weight Cotton Yarn in 4 colors: Warm Red, Sunset Orange, Soft Beige, Golden Yellow (approx. 50 yards each)
  • G (4.0 mm) Crochet Hook
  • Scissors
  • Tapestry Needle for weaving in ends

Gauge

10 double crochets = 4 inches (10 cm) in width.

Abbreviations

  • ch = chain
  • dc = double crochet
  • sl st = slip stitch
  • st = stitch
  • rnd = round

Instructions

  1. Start the Base:
    Create a magic ring. Ch 3 (counts as first dc), 11 dc into the ring. Pull tight to close the ring. Join with sl st to the top of the ch 3 (12 dc).
  2. Increase Rounds:
    Rnd 2: Ch 3, dc in same st, 2 dc in each st around. Join (24 dc).
    Rnd 3: Ch 3, *dc in next st, 2 dc in next st; repeat from * around. Join (36 dc).
  3. Stripe Rounds:
    Begin alternating colors every two rounds:
