Crochet Simple Textured Twisted Headband Pattern

Materials:

• Worsted weight yarn in light grey
• Crochet hook size H/8 (5.0 mm)
• Tapestry needle
• Scissors

Abbreviations:

• ch – chain
• sc – single crochet
• st(s) – stitch(es)
• yo – yarn over
• sl st – slip stitch

Gauge:

Not critical for this project.

Instructions:

1. Start by making a slip knot and chaining 15.
2. Row 1: Sc in the second ch from hook and in each ch across, turn. (14 sts)
3. Row 2: Ch 1, sc in each st across, turn.
4. Repeat Row 2 until the piece measures approximately 20 inches or desired length to fit comfortably around your head.
5. Finish off, leaving a long tail for sewing.

Assembly:

1. Lay the strip flat. Bring the short ends together.
2. Twist one end 180 degrees.
3. Use the long tail and tapestry needle to sew the ends together securely with a whip stitch.
4. Weave in any loose ends with the tapestry needle.

Finishing:

Turn the headband right side out, and the twist will naturally form at the seam. Your textured twisted headband is now ready to wear!
