• 100% cotton yarn in a natural beige color, Worsted weight

Instructions:

1. Foundation: Start with a magic circle. If you're unfamiliar with the magic circle technique, you can chain 4 and join with a slip stitch to form a loop.
2. Round 1: Ch 1 (does not count as a sc here and throughout), work 8 sc into the ring. Join with a sl st to the first sc. (8 sts)
3. Round 2: Ch 1, 2 sc in each st around. Join with a sl st. (16 sts)
4. Round 3: Ch 1, *sc in next st, 2 sc in the next st*; rep from * to * around. Join with a sl st. (24 sts)
5. Round 4: Ch 1, *sc in each of the next 2 sts, 2 sc in the next st*; rep from * to * around. Join with a sl st. (32 sts)
6. Round 5: Ch 1, *sc in each of the next 3 sts, 2 sc in the next st*; rep from * to * around. Join with a sl st. (40 sts)
7. Round 6: Ch 1, sc in each st around to create a solid border. Join with a sl st. (40 sts)
8. Finishing: Fasten off and weave in the ends with a tapestry needle.
