Materials

• Worsted weight yarn, 4 colors (Color A: Teal, Color B: Light Teal, Color C: White, Color D: Mint)
• Crochet hook size H/8 (5 mm)
• Scissors
• Tapestry needle

4 inches = 10 dc and 6 rows

Abbreviations

• ch – chain
• dc – double crochet
• sl st – slip stitch

Instructions

Note: This pattern is worked in the round using a ripple/zigzag pattern. Change colors as instructed or as desired for a different look.

Center Motif

1. Start with Color A. Ch 4, join with a sl st to form a ring.
2. Round 1: Ch 3 (counts as the first dc here and throughout), work 11 dc into the ring, join with a sl st to top of beginning ch-3. (12 dc)
3. Round 2: Ch 3, 1 dc in the same st, 2 dc in each st around, join with a sl st to top of beginning ch-3. (24 dc)

Ripple Pattern

3. Round 3: Change to Color B. Ch 3, *1 dc in next 2 sts, 2 dc in next st; repeat from * around, join. (32 dc)
4. Round 4: Continue with Color B. Ch 3, *1 dc in next 3 sts, 2 dc in next st; repeat from * around, join. (40 dc)
5. Round 5: Change to Color C. Ch 3, *1 dc in next 4 sts, 2 dc in next st; repeat from * around, join. (48 dc)

Continue increasing each round:

6. Round 6: Ch 3, *1 dc in next 5 sts, 2 dc in next st; repeat from *, join. (56 dc)
7. Round 7: Change to Color D. Ch 3, *1 dc in next 6 sts, 2 dc in next st; repeat from *, join. (64 dc)

Repeat the ripple pattern:
