Crocheted Flower Bouquet
Materials
- Worsted weight yarn in various colors (pink, purple, yellow, orange, blue, and white)
- Size G (4.0 mm) crochet hook
- Fiberfill stuffing (optional for added fullness)
- Green yarn for stems
- Scissors
- Yarn needle
Gauge
Gauge is not crucial for this project, but each flower should be about 4-5 inches wide.
Abbreviations
- ch - chain
- sl st - slip stitch
- sc - single crochet
- dc - double crochet
- st - stitch
- rnd - round
Flower Pattern
Each flower is worked in rounds. Choose your color and make each flower individually.
Flower Petals
- Make a magic circle or ch 4 and join to form a ring.
- Round 1: Ch 3 (counts as first dc), dc 11 into the ring. Join with sl st to top of ch 3. (12 dc)
- Round 2: Ch 3 (counts as first dc), *dc in next st, 2 dc in next st; repeat from * around. Join with sl st to top of ch 3. (18 dc)
- Round 3: Ch 3 (counts as first dc), *dc in next 2 sts, 2 dc in next st; repeat from * around. Join with sl st to top of ch 3. (24 dc)
- Round 4: Ch 1, sc in same st, *ch 2, skip next st, sc in next st; repeat from * around. Join with sl st to first sc.
- Fasten off and weave in ends.
Flower Center
- With a contrasting color, make a magic circle and ch 1.
- Round 1: 6 sc into circle. Join with sl st to first sc. (6 sc)
- Round 2: *2 sc in each st; repeat from * around. Join with sl st to first sc. (12 sc)
- Fasten off, leaving long tail for sewing.
- Sew the center to the middle of your flower petals.
Stems
- Using green yarn, ch 20 for the length of the stem.
- Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across. (19 sc)
- Fasten off and attach to the bottom of the flower.
Assemble Your Bouquet
Once your flowers are complete, group them together and wrap the stems together with a piece of green yarn. You can add a ribbon for a more polished look!
