Crochet Warm Luxurious Cable Knit House Slippers

Materials:

• Bulky weight yarn (approx. 200-250 yards, any color)
• Size K (6.5 mm) crochet hook
• Stitch marker
• Tapestry needle
• Scissors

Gauge: 8 stitches x 10 rows = 4 inches in cable stitch pattern

Size: Adult Men’s medium (adjustable)

Slipper Sole:

1. Ch 15 (or desired length for the foot).
2. Row 1: Sc in the 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across (14 sc). Ch 1, turn.
3. Row 2: Sc in each sc across (14 sc). Ch 1, turn.
4. Repeat Row 2 until the piece measures approximately 10 inches, or desired length for the foot.
5. Finish off, leaving a long tail for sewing.

Body of the Slipper:

1. Join yarn to the end of the sole. Ch 1.
2. Round 1: Sc around the edge of the sole (14 sc). Place a stitch marker to identify the start of the round.
3. Round 2: (Sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) around (21 sc).
4. Round 3: (Sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc) around (28 sc).
5. Round 4-7: Sc in each sc around (28 sc).
6. Round 8: Start cable pattern - (C4B, C4F) repeat around until you finish the round. C4B: cable over 4 stitches backward; C4F: cable over 4 stitches forward.
7. Continue until the piece reaches about 6 inches high from the sole.
8. Finish off and fasten securely.

Finishing:

1. Fold down the top edge for a cuff effect.
2. Whip stitch or use sewing needle to secure any loose ends or stitches.
3. Repeat steps for the second slipper.

Optional:

For extra grip, you may add fabric or rubber sole grips to the bottom of each slipper.
