Materials Needed:
- Worsted weight yarn in pastel pink, green, and cream
- Crochet hook G/6 (4.0 mm)
- Yarn needle
- Scissors
Gauge:
14 shells x 18 rows = 4 inches in shell stitch pattern
Finished Size:
Approximately 50 x 60 inches
Abbreviations:
- ch - chain
- sc - single crochet
- dc - double crochet
- sk - skip
- st - stitch
Instructions:
Foundation Row:
With cream yarn, ch 182.
Row 1:
In 5th ch from hook, (3 dc, ch 1, 3 dc). *Sk 3 ch, sc in next ch. Sk 3 ch, in next ch (3 dc, ch 1, 3 dc). Repeat from * across. Turn.
Row 2:
Ch 3 (counts as dc), dc in first st. *In next ch-1 space, (3 dc, ch 1, 3 dc). Repeat from * across to last st, 2 dc in last st. Turn.
Rows 3-8:
Repeat Row 2, alternating colors every two rows as follows: pink, green, cream.
Border:
With cream yarn, ch 1, sc evenly around the entire perimeter of the blanket, placing 3 sc in each corner. Join with a slip stitch to the first sc. Fasten off.
Finishing:
Weave in all ends using a yarn needle.
