Crochet Vibrant Gradient Lace Shawl Pattern
Materials Needed:
- Fingering weight gradient yarn cake (800m - 1000m)
- Crochet hook size 3.5 mm (E/4)
- Scissors
- Tapestry needle
Abbreviations:
- ch: chain
- dc: double crochet
- sc: single crochet
- sl st: slip stitch
- st: stitch
Instructions:
- Foundation Row: Ch 5, sl st into first ch to form a ring.
- Row 1: Ch 3 (counts as dc), 2 dc into ring, ch 2, 3 dc into ring, turn.
- Row 2: Ch 3, dc in same st, dc in each st across to ch-2 space, (2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in ch-2 space, dc in each st across, 2 dc in top of turning ch, turn.
- Row 3: Repeat Row 2.
- Row 4: Ch 4 (counts as dc, ch 1), *skip next dc, dc in next dc, ch 1; repeat from * across to ch-2 space, (2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in ch-2 space, **ch 1, skip next dc, dc in next dc; repeat from ** across, dc in top of turning ch, turn.
- Row 5: Ch 3, dc in each dc and ch-1 sp across to ch-2 space, (2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in ch-2 space, dc in each dc and ch-1 sp across, dc in top of turning ch, turn.
- Row 6 to End: Repeat Rows 2-5, maintaining the pattern increases and transitioning colors as you work through the gradient.
- Edging: Once desired length is achieved, work a row of sc evenly around the shawl for a neat edge. Fasten off and weave in ends.
