Materials:

• Worsted weight yarn (Approximately 200 yards)
• Size K (6.5 mm) crochet hook
• Yarn needle for weaving in ends
• Scissors

Stitches Used:

• Chain (ch)
• Single Crochet (sc)
• Double Crochet (dc)
• Slip Stitch (sl st)

Gauge: 12 stitches and 8 rows = 4 inches in double crochet

Finished Size: Approximately 9 inches wide and 32 inches around

Instructions:

1. Start with a chain of 90 stitches.
2. Join with a slip stitch to form a loop, being careful not to twist the chain.
3. Round 1: Ch 2 (counts as first dc), dc in next stitch and in each stitch around. Join with sl st to top of ch-2.
4. Round 2: Ch 1, *sc in next stitch, 2 dc in next stitch; repeat from * around. Join with sl st.
5. Round 3: Ch 2, *dc in next stitch, sc in next stitch; repeat from * around. Join with sl st.
6. Repeat rounds 2 and 3 until your cowl measures approximately 9 inches in height.
7. Fasten off and weave in all ends with a yarn needle.
