Crochet Rustic Maple Leaf Table Runner Free Pattern

Materials Needed:

  • Worsted weight yarn in cream, rust, burgundy, and mustard
  • 5.0 mm crochet hook
  • Tapestry needle
  • Scissors

Gauge:

4 inches = 14 stitches and 16 rows in double crochet

Finished Size:

Approximately 18 x 70 inches

Instructions:

Center Panel:

  1. Foundation Row: With cream yarn, chain 30. Turn.
  2. Row 1: Starting in the second chain from hook, work 1 sc in each chain across. (29 sc). Turn.
  3. Row 2-60: Ch 1, sc in each stitch across. Turn.

Maple Leaves (Make 3 - Rust, Burgundy, Mustard):

  1. Foundation Ring: With rust yarn, ch 5, slip stitch to form a ring.
  2. Round 1: Ch 3 (counts as dc), 14 dc into ring, slip stitch to join. (15 dc)
  3. Rounds 2-4: Continue increasing in the established pattern to form a leaf shape, adjusting the placement of dc and ch for leaf contours.

Assemble and Join:

  1. Join leaf motifs onto the center of the cream panel with matching yarn and tapestry needle, spacing them evenly.
  2. Weave in all loose ends.

Border:

  1. Round 1: With rust yarn, attach yarn to any corner, ch 1, sc evenly around entire piece, placing 3 sc in each corner. Join with slip stitch.
  2. Round 2: Ch 3, dc in each sc around, making a scalloped pattern, join with sl st.

Fasten off and weave in all remaining ends.
