Materials

• Green yarn (worsted weight)
• Red yarn (worsted weight)
• Cream yarn (worsted weight)
• 3.5mm crochet hook
• Polyester filling
• Yarn needle

Abbreviations

• ch: chain
• sc: single crochet
• dc: double crochet
• st: stitch
• sl st: slip stitch
• inc: increase
• dec: decrease

Tree Base

With brown yarn:

1. ch 2, 6 sc in the second ch from hook. (6 sts)
2. Inc in each st around. (12 sts)
3. (1 sc, inc) repeat around. (18 sts)
4. (2 sc, inc) repeat around. (24 sts)
5. Continue increasing until you reach 60 sts in the round.
6. sc in each st around for 6 rounds. Fasten off and weave in ends.

Tree Body

With green yarn:

1. Join yarn to the base. ch 1, sc in each st around. (60 sts)
2. sc in every st for 10 rounds.
3. (8 sc, dec) repeat around. (54 sts)
4. sc in each st for 5 rounds.
5. (7 sc, dec) repeat around. (48 sts)
6. Continue decreasing, working 5 rounds between decrease rounds, until the tree top closes. Fasten off and weave in ends.

Garlands

With cream yarn:

1. ch 100.
2. Fasten off and weave in loose ends.
3. Wrap around the tree to create desired effect.

Ornaments

With assorted colors:

1. ch 2, 6 sc in second ch from hook.
2. Inc in each st around. (12 sts)
3. sc in each st around for 2 rounds, dec around. (6 sts)
4. Fasten off, leaving a long tail. Stuff each ornament lightly and sew onto the tree.

Star Topper

With cream yarn:

1. ch 2, 5 sc in the second ch from hook.
2. Inc around. (10 sts)
