Crochet Elegant Lattice Shell Scarf Free Pattern

Materials Needed:

  • Worsted weight yarn (approximately 300 yards)
  • Size H (5.0 mm) crochet hook
  • Scissors
  • Tapestry needle for weaving in ends

Gauge:

15 stitches = 4 inches in shell stitch pattern (blocked)

Abbreviations:

  • ch - chain
  • sc - single crochet
  • dc - double crochet
  • st - stitch
  • sl st - slip stitch

Instructions:

Foundation Chain:

Ch 31 (or any odd number for desired width).

Row 1:

In 4th ch from hook, dc. *Skip 2 ch, sc in next ch, skip 2 ch, 5 dc in next ch.* Repeat from * to * until the last chain, sc in the last chain. Turn.

Row 2:

Ch 3 (counts as dc), *5 dc in the next sc, sc in the next 5 dc.* Repeat from * to * ending with a sc in top of ch-3. Turn.

Row 3:

Ch 1, sc in first st. *Skip 2, 5 dc in next sc, skip 2, sc in next 5 dc.* Repeat from * to * ending with a sc in last stitch. Turn.

Repeat Rows 2 and 3 until the scarf reaches desired length.

Final Row:

Ch 1, sc across the row, then fasten off and weave in ends.
