Crochet Elegant Frosty Snowflake Candle Holder Centerpiece Pattern
Materials Needed:
- Yarn: Worsted weight in white and icy blue
- Crochet hook: Size H/8 (5mm)
- Scissors
- Tapestry needle
- Glass candle holder
Gauge:
Not crucial for this pattern
Abbreviations:
- ch = chain
- sl st = slip stitch
- sc = single crochet
- dc = double crochet
- tr = treble crochet
Instructions:
Center Snowflake:
- With white yarn, make a magic ring.
- Round 1: Ch 3 (counts as dc), 11 dc into the ring, sl st to top of ch 3 to join. (12 dc)
- Round 2: Ch 3, dc in same st, 2 dc in each st around, sl st to top of ch 3. (24 dc)
Outer Points:
- Attach blue yarn in any dc of Round 2.
- Ch 3, dc in next 2 sts, ch 2, (dc in next 3 sts, ch 2) repeat around, sl st to starting ch. (8 ch-2 spaces)
- Switch to white yarn, sl st into first ch-2 space.
- Ch 4 (counts as tr), 2 tr in ch-2 space, ch 2, 3 tr in same space, *sc in next 3 dc, (3 tr, ch 2, 3 tr) in next ch-2 space* repeat around, end with sc in last 3 dc, sl st to top of starting ch 4.
Edging:
- Ch 1, sc in same st, sc in next st, picot (ch 3, sl st in first ch), sc in next st, *{sc in each of next 3 tr, picot, sc in ch-2 space, picot, sc in each of next 3 tr, picot, sc in each of next 3 sc}* repeat around, join with sl st to first sc.
- Fasten off and weave in ends.
Finishing:
Block your snowflake lightly to shape it neatly. Position your glass candle holder in the center of the snowflake to complete your elegant centerpiece.
