Crochet Delicate Diamond Lace Wrap with Elegant Edging Free Pattern
Materials:
- 1 skein of lightweight yarn (approx. 300 yards)
- Size H (5.0 mm) crochet hook
- Scissors
- Tapestry needle for weaving in ends
Gauge:
18 stitches and 10 rows = 4 inches in pattern stitch. Adjust hook size if needed to meet gauge.
Finished Measurements:
Approximately 60 inches long and 25 inches wide.
Stitches Used:
- Chain (ch)
- Double crochet (dc)
- Slip stitch (sl st)
- V-stitch: (dc, ch 1, dc) all in the same stitch
Abbreviations:
- sts = stitches
- rep = repeat
Instructions:
- Start by making a slip knot and chaining 64.
- Row 1: In the 4th ch from the hook, make 1 dc. *Skip the next ch, make 1 V-stitch in the next ch (dc, ch 1, dc), repeat from * across the row. Turn.
- Row 2: Ch 3 (counts as first dc), *in the V-stitch of the previous row, make 1 V-stitch, skip the next two dc; repeat from * across, finishing with 1 dc in the last ch. Turn.
- Row 3: Ch 3, V-stitch in the first V-stitch, *skip the next two V-stitches and make a V-stitch in the next V-stitch; repeat from * across, ending with a dc in the top of the turning ch. Turn.
- Repeat Rows 2 and 3 until the wrap reaches the desired length, approximately 60 inches, or until yarn is nearly finished.
- Edging: Ch 1, sc along the entire edge of the wrap. In each corner, make 3 sc to create a rounded edge. Join with a slip stitch to the first sc. Fasten off and weave in all ends.
