Crochet Airy Lattice Textured Shawl Free Pattern
Materials:
- Yarn: 500 m of 4-ply or fingering weight yarn
- Hook: 3.5mm (E) crochet hook
- Tapestry needle for weaving in ends
Abbreviations:
- ch = chain
- dc = double crochet
- sc = single crochet
- sl st = slip stitch
- st = stitch
Gauge:
24 stitches and 12 rows = 10 cm in pattern stitch. Adjust hook size if necessary.
Pattern:
Starting Point:
- Ch 4, sl st into first ch to form a ring.
Row 1:
- Ch 3 (counts as first dc), dc 2 into the ring, ch 1, dc 3 into the ring.
Row 2:
- Ch 3, turn. (dc in first st, ch 1, dc in next st) repeat until 3 dc remain in row, dc in last st.
Row 3:
- Ch 3, turn. Repeat pattern creating lattice by working dc in ch spaces. Continue increasing until the shawl reaches your desired size.
Last Row:
- Continue until the shawl is large enough, then finish with a row of sc across all stitches.
Finishing:
Weave in all ends. Block gently to open up the lattice design.
