Crochet Adorable Bear Head Appliqué Free Pattern

Materials Needed:

• Worsted/Aran (#4) weight yarn in brown, beige, and black
• 5mm crochet hook
• Tapestry needle
• Scissors

Abbreviations:

• ch = chain
• sl st = slip stitch
• sc = single crochet
• dc = double crochet
• MR = magic ring

Instructions:

Bear Head:

1. With brown yarn, create a MR, ch 1 (does not count as st), 8 sc in MR, pull tight, join with sl st in first sc. (8 sts)
2. Ch 1, 2 sc in each st around, join with sl st. (16 sts)
3. Ch 1, *sc in next st, 2 sc in next st* around, join with sl st. (24 sts)
4. Ch 1, *sc in next 2 sts, 2 sc in next st* around, join with sl st. (32 sts)
5. Fasten off and weave in ends.

Inner Ears (Make 2):

1. With beige yarn, create a MR, ch 1, 8 sc in MR, pull tight, join with sl st in first sc. (8 sts)
2. Fasten off and leave a long tail to sew.

Outer Ears (Make 2):

1. With brown yarn, create a MR, ch 1, 8 sc in MR, pull tight, join with sl st in first sc. (8 sts)

3. Fasten off and leave a long tail to sew.
4. Sew the beige inner ear to the brown outer ear, centered at the top.

Muzzle:

4. Sew the muzzle to the lower center of the head.

Facial Features:

• Eyes: With black yarn, embroider or stitch two small circles above the muzzle.
