Materials Needed

Before you begin, gather the following supplies. Using the exact materials will help you achieve the gauge and look shown in the photos.

  • Yarn: Worsted weight cotton or cotton blend yarn (approx. 150 yards total for the set). Shown in: Main Color (MC) - Soft Sage Green, Contrast Color (CC) - Cream
  • Needles: US Size 6 (4.0 mm) knitting needles (or size to obtain gauge)
  • Gauge: 20 stitches and 28 rows = 4 inches in Honeycomb Stitch pattern, after blocking
  • Other: Stitch marker, tapestry needle for weaving ends, scissors

Step-by-Step Instructions

Important Notes: The Honeycomb Stitch is worked over a multiple of 4 stitches + 2. The pattern is written for the smallest size (newborn to 3 months), with larger sizes in parentheses. Always check your gauge before starting.
