Materials

• Yarn: DK weight - Main Color (MC) White, Contrast Color (CC) Burgundy
• Knitting needles: Size US 6 (4mm), circular and double-pointed
• Stitch markers
• Tapestry needle

Gauge

22 stitches and 30 rows = 4 inches in Stockinette Stitch

Abbreviations

• CO: Cast On
• K: Knit

• K2tog: Knit Two Together
• SSK: Slip, Slip, Knit

Instructions

Body

With MC, CO 184 stitches. Join to work in the round, being careful not to twist stitches. PM for beginning of round.

1. Ribbing: K2, P2 around. Work for 2 inches.
2. Stockinette Body: K all rounds until piece measures 15 inches from CO edge.

Sleeves (Make 2)

With MC, CO 48 stitches. Join to work in the round and PM.

1. Ribbing: K2, P2 around for 2 inches.
2. K all rounds, increasing 1 st each end every 8 rounds, until sleeve measures 18 inches, 80 stitches.

Yoke

Join sleeves to body as follows: Use smaller needles and knit across the front, PM, knit across first sleeve, PM, knit across back, PM, knit across second sleeve, PM, ensuring markers are placed at raglan seams.

1. Work raglan decreases every other round as follows:
2. *K to 3 sts before marker, K2tog, K1, SM, K1, SSK; repeat from * to end.
3. Continue until 88 sts remain.
4. Neck Ribbing: Switch to 1x1 rib (K1, P1) for 1 inch.

Lettering

Using CC, duplicate stitch 'Ski Bum' across the front.

Finishing

Weave in all ends using tapestry needle. Block to measurements.
