Crochet Whimsical Moon and Star Amigurumi Set Free Pattern
Materials Needed
- DK (weight 3) yarn in yellow, cream, and tan
- Crochet hook size 4mm
- Tapestry needle
- Polyester stuffing
- Scissors
- Black embroidery floss
Abbreviations (US Terminology)
- ch: chain
- sc: single crochet
- inc: increase (2 sc in same stitch)
- dec: decrease (sc two stitches together)
- sl st: slip stitch
- st: stitch
- mr: magic ring
Crescent Moon Pattern
- Begin with yellow yarn and make a magic ring.
- Round 1: Work 6 sc into the magic ring. (6 sts)
- Round 2: Inc around. (12 sts)
- Round 3: *Sc in first st, inc*, repeat around. (18 sts)
- Continue increasing, following the pattern of previous rounds, until you reach 60 sts.
- Rounds 4-18: sc in each st around, maintaining 60 sts.
- Start decreasing gradually to form the crescent shape.
- Use stuffing as needed to maintain shape.
- Embroider eye details using black floss to create closed eyes on the moon.
Large Star Pattern
- Using tan yarn, make a magic ring.
- Round 1: 10 sc in mr, tighten. (10 sts)
