Crochet Cozy Textured Cocoon Cardigan Free Pattern

Materials
- Yarn: Fingering weight yarn in gray (approximately 1200-1500 yards)
- Crochet Hook: Size H/8 (5mm)
- Tapestry needle for weaving in ends
- Scissors
Abbreviations
- ch: chain
- sc: single crochet
- hdc: half double crochet
- dc: double crochet
- sl st: slip stitch
- st: stitch
- RS: right side
Gauge
12 sts and 10 rows = 4” in hdc.
Pattern
Back and Front Panels (make 1 piece)
- Foundation: Ch 140.
- Row 1 (RS): Hdc in 3rd ch from hook and in each ch across. Turn. (138 hdc)
- Rows 2-60: Ch 2, hdc in each st across. Turn.
Sleeves (make 2)
- Foundation: Ch 40.
- Row 1 (RS): Hdc in 3rd ch from hook and in each ch across. Turn. (38 hdc)
- Rows 2-30: Ch 2, hdc in each st across. Turn.
- Repeat Rows 2-30 for second sleeve.
Assembly
- Fold the main piece in half lengthwise.
- Sew the sides to form sleeve openings, leaving approximately 40 rows unsewn on each side for sleeve openings.
- Attach sleeves to the openings, sewing around the armhole.
Finishing
- Collar and Bottom Border: Attach yarn to one front bottom corner. Ch 1, sc evenly around the collar and bottom edge of the cardigan. Fasten off.
- Weave in all ends using the tapestry needle.
