Materials
- Yarn: 100% wool yarn, bulky weight, 5 skeins in soft pink
- Needles: US size 10 (6.0 mm) circular knitting needles
- Stitch markers
- Measuring tape
- Scissors
- Yarn needle for weaving in ends
Gauge
12 stitches and 15 rows = 4 inches in stockinette stitch.
Abbreviations
- CO: Cast On
- K: Knit
- P: Purl
- RS: Right Side
- WS: Wrong Side
- Cable (C): Knit stitches together from the cable cross.
Instructions
Body
- CO 80 stitches.
- Work in ribbing (K2, P2) for 4 inches.
- Begin the body pattern:
- Row 1 (RS): K2, *C, K2; repeat from * to last 2 stitches, K2.
- Row 2 (WS): K2, *P2, K2; repeat from * to last 2 stitches, K2.
- Repeat Rows 1 and 2 for 14 inches or until the desired length before armholes.
- To shape armholes, bind off 8 stitches at the beginning of the next 2 rows.
- Continue in pattern for 14 inches.
- Bind off all stitches loosely.
Sleeves (Make 2)
- CO 40 stitches.
- Work in ribbing (K2, P2) for 3 inches.
- Begin sleeve pattern:
- Row 1 (RS): K2, *C, K2; repeat from * to last 2 stitches, K2.
- Row 2 (WS): K2, *P2, K2; repeat from * to last 2 stitches, K2.
- Continue working in pattern for 12 inches.
- Bind off all stitches loosely.
Assembly
- Block all pieces to measurements.
- Using a yarn needle, sew the sleeves to the body at the armholes.
- Weave in all loose ends.
